The Mactec Side family of handle applicators applies tape carry handles at 90°, on the side of the packaging.

The application head is on the side of the machine instead of on the top, as in traditional machines.

The Side family is suitable for any production line, in single, double and three lanes.

The most important use of the side application is for slim and tall packaging (e.g. the Tissue sector) but it is often used in multipacks, such as 24-cans (Beverages) and for all packaging where the shape or size makes a lateral handle more comfortable for lifting, grasping and carrying the packaging.

In some cases, the side tape carry handle is useful to pull the packaging off a crowded shelf, as it is easier to find it, then grasp and pull.
